If you have an enquiry in relation to a personal Employment matter or simply want to speak to a member of our expert team, please get in touch.
We would always recommend the first step to take is sitting down with your employer informally to try and resolve the issue. If this does not achieve the desired result then you would use your employer’s internal grievance process.
We can help from the start by offering you advice as to how to approach your employer to resolve the dispute. If you feel further help is needed you can instruct us to liaise with your employer on your behalf instead.
This will depend on the nature of the dispute. In any event, a proper procedure would need to be followed before your employment could be terminated lawfully. If you are raising a statutory right with your employer, for example rightfully claiming holiday pay which has not been paid, and you are then dismissed then this may well give a claim for automatic unfair dismissal.
